Overview

The Ping Pong Ball Launcher project was created to be constructed as a kit for early high school engineering students. It was designed to be easily manufacturable and a project which eases new engineering students into subjects such as coding, kinematics, and basic electronics. In addition to the fabrication of the launcher kits, a detailed 45 page instruction manual, found below, was also written to be used in conjunction with the kits. It is complete with the CAD, bill of materials, step-by-step illustrations, and teacher-oriented lesson plans. The project itself included skills such as manufacturing, CAD, 3D printing, project assembly, soldering, Python coding, and more.
